Privacy and Terms
KerfReady (kerfready.com) is run by [business name], [address]. Contact: [hello@kerfready.com]. Last updated [date].
Private beta: KerfReady is currently in a private beta, open only to people with an access code. Beta downloads are free, and features may change as we improve the service.
- Your STEP files, the parts list and the DXF / PDF results are deleted 60 minutes after you last use them, or immediately when you press Delete my files.
- No copies are kept and there are no backups of your files.
- Your files are never shared, sold, looked at by people, or used to train anything.
What you send us
- Model files (STEP) that you upload, and the settings you choose (stock sizes, quantities, layer names).
- Results the service makes from them: the DXF, nest report PDF and text report.
- Account details (name, email, billing), once accounts and payment are added. Card payments are handled by [payment provider, e.g. Stripe]; we never see or store card numbers.
How your files are used
Only to produce the results you asked for. Each job runs on its own and is kept in its own temporary folder on our server, which other users can't reach.
How long we keep them
- The whole job folder (uploads, results and processing log) is deleted when you press Delete my files, or automatically 60 minutes after you last use the job.
- Restarting the service deletes every job.
- We don't record your file names or part names in server logs. Basic technical logs (for example that a job ran and how long it took) may be kept for up to [30 days] to keep the service running, without your model data.
Cookies and your browser
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. During the beta, one essential cookie remembers that you entered a valid access code, so you aren't asked again; it holds nothing else. Your browser remembers your settings (board sizes, layer names and so on) in its own local storage, on your device only. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Where your data is processed
On servers in [the UK / EU, provider name]. Files are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Your model files are already deleted as described above. Contact [email]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Terms of use
- Check before you cut. KerfReady creates CNC files automatically from your model. Check every DXF and toolpath in your CAM software before machining. Unusual geometry can be interpreted differently from what you intended.
- We aren't liable for material, machine time or other losses caused by output that wasn't checked before cutting. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the [12 months] before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
- Only upload files you have the right to use. You keep all rights to your models and results.
- The service is provided as it is. We aim to keep it available, but can't guarantee it will run without interruption.
- [Subscription, cancellation and refund terms - add when pricing is set.]
